Everybody I speak to or listen to (including myself) are searching for their life’s purpose their ultimate calling. I want to pose the question, what is the purpose of your life TODAY (as opposed to the rest of your life, sounds like a lot of pressure!)
Exercise: Today’s Life Purpose
1. Take a piece of paper and divide it into 4 columns
2. In the first column write “crucial”,the second “hot”, the third “sooner” and the fourth “later”
3. Under the headings write a maximum of four things that you need to or want to do today, for example under crucial you might have pay bills, look after the kids and do the groceries. Under later, you might have, clean out the pantry.
4. Look at the first column and write a positive, pithy statement; “today my purpose is to honour my financial commitments, provide myself and my family with great nutrition and to nurture my children.”
There; simple! It brings us into the present moment and adds a greater importance to what we are already doing.
