Ten Ways to Simplify Your Life

Hi Friends,

Let’s face it; it can be pretty overwhelming being a human being in today’s society; trying to balance work, home life, family, friends, health and fitness….breathe! Check out these quick tips to take the edge off the day…

1. On Sunday evening get all your outfits chosen for the week ahead…this will save faffing and stress in the mornings

2. Spend a few hours over the weekend cooking and freezing dinners, so when you get home you don’t have to cook or make a lot of mess

3. Say no to somebody or something

4. See if you can cut costs to hire a cleaner, even if they only come once a month; the greatest gift you can give yourself

5. Go to bed an hour earlier

6. Declutter a different room in your house each month. Start with the bedroom, specifically your clothes. Keep only what you wear and what you love

7. If exercise is a stressor and you are time poor, even a ten minute walk is better than nothing

8. If you don’t like doing something, don’t do it (e.g- will your second cousin Cheryl really care if you don’t come to her pot luck dinner?)

9. Tidy the house on one day of the week; turbo style. Put the timer on for one hour and go like the clappers! This means the next day you only have to clean, without all the extra tidying. Plus you’ve burned a stack of calories

10. Write down your activities during an average week. If there’s anything that’s not serving you, release it. You should leave every social gathering and encounter feeling energised, not depleted. If something or someone isn’t bringing out the best in you, it’s time for a breather!
